The Protocol

A properly trained Myofascial Trigger Point Therapist, from a NAMTPT recognized training program, with the credential of either CMTPT or MTPT has been trained to follow a comprehensive protocol so as to eliminate myofascial pain due to trigger points (TrPs). It is this protocol that makes myofascial trigger point therapy a comprehensive form of drug-free pain management.

Myofascial Trigger Point Therapy (MTPT) is a unique treatment protocol for the treatment of myofascial pain and dysfunction.

The protocol is based on the seminal works of Janet G. Travell, MD and David G. Simons, MD. Our hands-on treatment concepts were developed by Bonnie Prudden and many others.  The Myofascial Trigger Point Therapy model integrates current scientific concepts and research findings from many world-known researchers including but not limited to: Jay P Shah et al, Siddartha Sikkdar,  Helene Langavin, Cesar De Las Penas, Leon Chaitow, Robert Gerwin, Jon Dommerholdt, The Stecco Family, Hans Kraus, Bonnie Prudden. We continue to learn more and will use this platform to disseminate new research findings.

This protocol includes having a advanced-trained massage theapist listening to you and hearing your challenges. We have a road-map created for us by Drs Travell and Simons, and we can use that information to best help you restore full pain-free function so you can get back to living your best life.

Our Trigger Point Therapy Protocol can include the following areas:
